‘Different player’: Some Palace fans make admission about £10m Leeds player

Crystal Palace supporters admitted that they were lucky that Patrick Bamford’s equalising goal was ruled offside on Saturday during Leeds’ 4-1 defeat at Selhurst Park.

After Scott Dann had opened the scoring, Bamford thought he equalised for Leeds, but VAR judged that his arm was in an offside position.

Added with that controversial call, Palace fans also claimed that Bamford, who moved to Leeds for £10 million from Boro in 2018 [BBC Sport], looks a ‘different player’ from the one they had on loan from Chelsea many years ago.

Whilst it has been a long road for the Englishman, he has proved a lot of people wrong with his performances under Marcelo Bielsa in recent seasons.

Bamford’s opening goal was ruled out by VAR, but he didn’t stop there because he did find the back of the net once again for his side.

But that was in vain because his team ended up losing the contest 4-1.

Palace fans made it clear that the decision that went in their favour was a disgraceful decision and they were lucky on that count.

Whilst VAR isn’t the issue, the big problem is the rules which are in place and those at Stockley Park making the calls.
