Reported West Ham United, Everton and Arsenal target Martin Satriano shares a few things in common with Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema, the Inter Milan youngster’s agent told Calciomercato

Whenever a young striker bursts onto the scene in Uruguay, it is not long before those comparisons emerge.

And Satriano, at just 20 and without a single Serie A appearance on his CV, is already being likened to a pair of Uruguayan legends – Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani.

According to a man who knows him better than most, however, Satriano’s all-round game, intelligent link-play and tendency to drift wide and deep in search of the ball means he has a lot more in common with a certain Real Madrid superstar than two evergreen forwards now plying their trade at Manchester United and Atletico.

“Whenever there is a great striker from Uruguay, everyone talks about Suarez and Cavani. I think that his characteristics are different than Suarez, Martin can play both as number 10 and as number 9,” said Nick Maytum, Satriano’s agent.

“Let’s say he is a nine-and-a-half. We can consider him more like Benzema.

“More like Lautaro (Martinez) than (Romelu) Lukaku? Yes, he plays quite similar to Lautaro. He trained a lot with the Inter first-team and learned a lot from Lautaro, Lukaku and the other great players.”

Is Inter Milan’s Martin Satriano heading to the Premier League?

While Satriano will certainly benefit from sharing a dressing room with a couple of elite-level centre-forwards, there are two sides to every coin.

And it is largely due to the stellar form of Lautaro and Lukaku that Satriano has failed to force his way into an Inter side who cruised to the Serie A title last season.

According to the Mail, a host of Premier League clubs are watching the situation closely, with Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and Everton interested.

Satriano appears to have his heart set on an extended stay at the San Siro, however, with his agent admitting earlier this week that the striker has already turned down a move to Arsenal.
