Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrice Muamba has been discussing Newcastle United’s style of play and their potential this season.

The Magpies are aiming to be a real force in the Premier League this season after a remarkable end to the 2021/22 season, and according to Muamba, Newcastle have a chance of making their mark this term.

Indeed, according to the pundit, Newcastle were different class towards the end of last term, and he thinks that one of United’s biggest strengths is the fact that they can mix up their style of play between playing a passing style and going long, causing a conundrum for any team in the Premier League.

What’s been said?

Muamba spoke about Newcastle.

“The second-half of the season they were different class. The way Eddie got his team to play, the way Newcastle can play, they can pass the ball, but they can also go long, that’s a weapon that not every team has. This summer they have been very proactive and they’re getting quality, not quantity,” Muamba said.

Dynamic

Newcastle may not be the most talented team in the Premier League, but they are one of the most dynamic at this moment in time.

Indeed, the Magpies have a huge arsenal of weapons they can use to break teams down, whether it’s using Chris Wood as a battering ram, Allan Saint-Maximin as a one-man dribbling army or using Bruno Guimaraes’ playmaking abilities to unlock a defence, Newcastle know that there is more than one way to skin a cat.

The old adage in boxing is ‘styles make fights’ and a similar mantra can be applied to football matches and if Eddie Howe can utilise all of his sides strengths when needed, this Newcastle team will be difficult to stop next season.
