Jamie Redknapp has praised Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott on Sky Sports Premier League (9:54pm, February 25, 2023) for his performance against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in London in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Liverpool have played out a goalless draw with Palace on the road.
Elliott did not start the match for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
The 19-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a midfielder, came on as a substitute for Naby Keita at half time.
Keita was really poor during his time on the pitch, and we were not surprised at all that the midfielder was taken off at half time.
Elliott did do more than Keita during his time on the pitch at Selhurst Park.
The teenager showed urgency and had lots of energy.
The youngster was clearly trying to make things happen and showed huge enthusiasm.
According to WhoScored, Elliott did not take any shot, had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, took 32 touches, made on tackle and two interceptions.
And former Liverpool midfielder and Sky Sports pundit Redknapp was impressed.
