Dietmar Hamann believes Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli could end up like Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.
Dietmar Hamann has warned that Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli still has a lot to prove.
Hamann argued that Alli would not get into Germany’s line-up at this moment in time, ahead of the likes of Marco Reus, Julian Draxler and Mesut Ozil.
And when challenged on his opinion, the former Liverpool man suggested that Alli could yet go the same way as Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Theo Walcott.
Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott both are considered not to have totally fulfilled their potential while with Arsenal.
Alli, though, has shown signs that he could turn into a global superstar in his first two seasons at Tottenham.
The England international midfielder has enjoyed a rapid rise, and is already playing a key role at Spurs.
Alli has scored 14 goals in 27 matches while playing for Tottenham, and he has also claimed four assists.
Alli looks likely to start for England tonight, when they take on Germany in a friendly match.
