Could Tottenham Hotspur lose Mauricio Pochettino to Bayern Munich at the end of the season?

Dietmar Hamann of Liverpool FC Legends hoots at goal during the match between Liverpool FC Legends and the Australian Legends at ANZ Stadium on January 7, 2016 in Sydney, Australia.

Dietmar Hamann has told Sky Germany, as translated by Goal.com, that Bayern Munich have made contact with Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The former Bayern and Liverpool defensive midfielder has claimed that the German giants want Pochettino to succeed Jupp Heynckes at the Allianz Arena should the latter decide to leave at the end of the season.

Hamann told Sky Germany, as translated by Goal.com: ”I know Bayern have been in contact with Pochettino and that he was an option – and might still be.”

Worrying for Tottenham Hotspur?

Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have some of the best players on the planet, and managing the German giants could be tempting for Pochettino.

What is worrying for Tottenham is that Bayern are claimed to have already made contact with Pochettino.

This is probably a sign that the Champions League regulars think that they can prise Pochettino away from Spurs.

Back in February 2018, The Daily Star claimed that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would want £10 million in compensation for Pochettino.

While Spurs fans will be worried by Hamann’s claim, they should remain optimistic that Pochettino will not leave.

After all, Tottenham are set to move into a brand new and bigger stadium next season, the team are likely to end up in the top four of the Premier League next season, and the fans love him.

Moreover, at Spurs, Pochettino has a certain degree of job security that he will probably not get at Bayern.
