Villa may be bottom of the table having suffered eight defeats in their last nine matches, yet they do possess some quality, with Gueye and left-back Jordan Amavi among their better performers.

However, there is an evident brittleness about the West Midlands outfit and they will need Gueye and his fellow defensive-minded players to be at the top of their respective games against Tottenham.

The White Hart Lane outfit boast the longest unbeaten run in the league and will certainly fancy their chances of picking up all three points on Monday.
