Eric Dier has talked up the abilities of Tottenham Hotspur new boy Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, after seeing him in training, as per his comments in the London Evening Standard.
Hojbjerg and Dier have now been training together for a few weeks as Tottenham gear up for the new campaign.
And the England international has been very impressed by what he has seen from the former Southampton man so far.
“After seeing him more closely since he arrived at Tottenham, he’s a great player,” Dier said.
“He’s going to bring a lot to the Tottenham team. He has attributes that we’ve been missing. He’s very professional, he has a fantastic attitude and work rate and I think he brings leadership qualities as well.
“He speaks a lot on the pitch, he pushes his teammates and he demands things from his teammates.
“In the way that he plays, he’s quite combative and aggressive and brings more fight to the midfield, which is good for us.”

Hojbjerg’s arrival at Tottenham should be good news for Dier, as it will allow him to concentrate on playing at centre-back.
Dier has made no secret of his desire to play in defence, and Hojbjerg’s arrival means that his services are less likely to be needed in defensive midfield now.
It is widely expected that the Spurs new boy will start for Jose Mourinho’s side on opening day, as he should bring the steel and discipline that was often lacking from their game last term.
Tottenham kick their season off with a game against Everton on Sunday.
