Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp has been talking about his team’s fitness and Thiago Alcantara.
The Spaniard picked up an injury in the pre-Carabao Cup final warm-up last weekend that forced him to miss the big match at Wembley.
He also didn’t feature against Norwich in the mid-week FA Cup clash, and sadly, it seems as though he also won’t play against West Ham.
Indeed, Jurgen Klopp says that he’s pretty sure Thiago won’t be able to play against the Hammers.
What’s been said?
Klopp gave an update on Thiago.
“We have players who are not available. I’m pretty sure that nobody will tell me differently because they didn’t train so Thiago will not be available for tomorrow,” Klopp said.

Could’ve used him
This is incredibly frustrating for Liverpool as Thiago is very much a player they could have used against West Ham.
The London club have one of the league’s best midfield pairings in Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice, and having a midfield puppeteer like Thiago in the team would have been incredibly beneficial.
Fingers crossed the 30-year-old will be back soon as Liverpool will certainly need him if they are to continue to march towards winning a historic quadruple.
