Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Tottenham ‘massively’ miss Christian Eriksen, as he claimed on his Instagram live.

The talkSPORT pundit claimed that Tottenham need to dip into the January transfer window and sign a number ten.

It will be two years in January since Spurs parted ways with Eriksen, after they sold him to Inter Milan for £17 million (BBC Sport).

It was a move that played out during Tottenham’s All or Nothing Amazon documentary, involving Daniel Levy and the now-departed Jose Mourinho.

But O’Hara admitted that he didn’t think Eriksen would be such a miss for Spurs.

“We need to buy someone in January,” said O’Hara. “A number ten. Christian Eriksen, we have missed massively.

“I didn’t think we would miss him that much. But we have no-one who can open the team up. It’s getting ridiculous now.”

Nevermind Tottenham missing a player of Eriksen’s ilk in their midfield, they haven’t even attempted to replace him.

Tanguy Ndombele was brought in the following summer for a club-record fee, but he’s not a one-touch football, who likes to pick the pockets and link-up play like a playmaker would.

Harry Kane likes to drop deep as it is, but without Eriksen no longer in the team, he is having to do it a lot more, in order to feed the ball forward.

All of this just raises questions towards Levy and why he hasn’t backed his coaches in bringing in that playmaker.
