Celtic fans have taken to Twitter after the Club announced that Greg Taylor had signed a new four-year contract at Parkhead.
What’s the story?
Well, the 24-year-old has seemingly impressed Ange Postecoglou enough to earn himself a new deal at Celtic Park.
Taylor has made four Scottish Premiership starts under the Australian this season, in which he has provided one assist.
The left-back has also made four starts in the Europa League, as Celtic sit third in a very tough group including Real Betis and Bayer Leverkusen.
Taylor has been solid, although much of the reaction was that of confusion as supporters wondered how he had secured a new deal.
Nevertheless, as seen below, some fans felt differently, and found the positives in Celtic’s decision.
The 5-cap Scotland international is clearly trusted by Postecoglou, which should be good enough for those supporters questioning the move.
Celtic made right decision with Greg Taylor

He may not be the first name on the teamsheet, but it’s vitally important to have players like Taylor around.
Josip Juranovic has played at left-back for most of the current campaign, with Anthony Ralston at right-back.
However, having someone like Taylor breathing down his neck will only be a good thing for Juranovic, as it keeps him on his toes.

Footballers need to stay motivated, and it’s very easy to switch off if there isn’t a direct competitor for your position.
In that respect, Celtic and Postecoglou have made the correct call regarding the £3m man.
For now, let’s see what the Celtic fans on Twitter have been saying about the announcement…
