Arsenal fans have been impressed by the physical development of Gabriel Martinelli, after his injury.

Martinelli was spotted briefly in a clip Arsenal made to announce the signing of Thomas Partey, and the Brazilian was noticeably stronger.

Martinelli seems to have really bulked out his upper body, and Arsenal supporters cannot wait to have him back in action now.

Martinelli had a brilliant breakthrough season at the Emirates Stadium before injury struck to halt his progress.

The youngster managed to break into double figures for goals during his first season in England, and there are high hopes for his future at Arsenal.

Martinelli was already one of the best pressing forwards in the Premier League before his recent muscular development, so there is an expectation that he could now return from injury and improve even more in that area.

There is also a gap for Martinelli to seize a spot in Arsenal’s team up-front.

Mikel Arteta has generally opted to go with Alexandre Lacazette so far this season to lead the line, but the Frenchman hasn’t entirely convinced, and if Martinelli can hit the ground running on his return, then he could be given a starting place before long.
