Sunderland are bottom of the Premier League and are yet to win a game this season.

Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong has told the club’s official website that the Black Cats will stick together despite seeing their efforts unrewarded yet again against Arsenal.

David Moyes’ side were beaten 4-1 by Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, but Ndong believes Sunderland deserved more from the game, and they will continue to do what they can to bring the good times back to Wearside.

“We have to stick together through the good times and the bad,” Ndong told safc.com.

“I thought we showed a good face in the second half and that’s what we will do in the next match.

“We will try our best for each other and the fans.”

While it is good to see that the Sunderland players are trying to remain positive despite picking up just two points from their opening 10 Premier League games, Ndong’s words will feel empty to Sunderland supporters, who have seen nothing from their side to suggest they can turn things around under Moyes.

Sunderland managed to get level against Arsene Wenger’s side thanks to a Jermain Defoe penalty, but a catalogue of defensive errors cost the Black Cats again, and there is no chance they deserved anything from the clash with Arsenal.

The game away to Bournemouth is a huge match for Sunderland, and the players need to respond on the pitch and show the fans they are worth of wearing red and white.
