The Leeds United pair have terminated their contracts with the Whites.

As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have released defender Paul McKay and striker Jack McKay from their contracts.
The pair, who had six months still to run on their respective deals, agreed to end them early and have since moved on trial to fellow Championship side Cardiff City.

It is an interesting turn of events for the twins, who moved to Leeds from Doncaster Rovers back in January 2016, but following an influx of promising foreign talent last summer, it seems the pair were finding it harder than ever to break through at Elland Road.
At 21, the players would have been hoping for first-team chances at Leeds, however the truth is they were nowhere near, and with the next wave of teenage talent hot on their heels it seems they had no sensible choice but to leave and attempt to kick-start their careers elsewhere.

With the likes of Jack Clarke, Mallik Wilks and Kun Temenuzhkov all tipped to be future striking stars for Leeds, and with Oriol Rey among the teenage defenders brought in by Leeds’ director of football Victor Orta, the prospect of two 21-year-olds winning that particular battle was growing increasingly slim.
The future looks very bright for Leeds, but it was no real surprise to see the talented twins move on.
