The summer Leeds United recruit, Stuart McKinstry, was celebrating his 17th birthday.

The young Leeds United winger earned plaudits for his performance during Monday’s Under-23s success against Watford – winning penalties from which Eddie Nketiah and Tyler Roberts scored in a 6-0 win for Carlos Corberan’s side.
It was McKinstry’s first Elland Road run-out since his summer move from Motherwell.
The then-16-year-old initially agreed a scholarship contract with Leeds.
But after turning 17 on Wednesday – the age at which a player can sign professional forms in England – could McKinstry be about to do just that?
His agency, Base Soccer, posted the following message on Twitter earlier:
And one of their employees, Elliot Fillingham, later added this update on Instagram:
Tying McKinstry down to a pro contract would give Leeds greater control over his future, and help to safeguard them against offers from other clubs.
