Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers had a very impressive January, but Steven Gerrard’s side missed out on Ben Woodburn.

Glasgow Rangers may just have missed a trick by not bringing in Ben Woodburn when they had a chance.
Rangers have long been linked with Woodburn, as reported by the Scottish Sun, but they opted against moving for the Liverpool man last month.
Woodburn was expected to leave Anfield to join a Championship side, but his move to Hull City fell through at the last minute.
And Rangers may have been in with a shout of actually landing the Welsh international, had they been in for him.
Rangers did have a very productive January transfer window, with Jermain Defoe’s arrival significantly strengthening their attack.
However, Woodburn offers different qualities to Defoe, and he could have been an excellent addition to Steven Gerrard’s squad.

Woodburn has pace and skill, and his ability to play either on a wing or up-front meant he could have been a really strong addition to Rangers’ team.
And although the Ibrox side did have an excellent January, if they had signed Woodburn, then it could have been even better.
