If one positive, if it can be called that, is to come out of that loss at Griffin Park, however, it could be that Christiansen will see that Pierre-Michel Lasogga and his styles are not compatible.
Before being taken off for Kemar Roofe at half-time, Lasogga had managed just nine touches on the ball. That is pretty woeful by any standard.
In fairness to Lasogga it is not entirely his fault, rather that his presence as a physical target-man does not suit the high intensity passing system that Christiansen is trying to employ. It is in the same mould as Liverpool or Manchester City, for instance, both of which are more comfortable operating with a technical forward in the false nine mould.

Which is what Roofe offers and Leeds looked a lot more comfortable once the 24 year old was on the pitch, equalising through Ezgjan Alioski before late Yoann Barbet and Ryan Woods strikes sealed victory for the Bees.
The Whites have a few more issues to address than just Lasogga, but with the international break to mull things over Christiansen will either have to change his style to suit the German, or leave him out altogether.
