Premier League high-flyers Wolverhampton Wanderers have big plans in the final few days of the transfer window.

Could Wolves’ greatest strength soon become their weakness?
The fact that you could accurately predict around 75 per cent of Wolves’ starting XI last season highlighted not just the consistency of Nuno Espirito Santo’s tight-knit squad, it also hinted at a lack of real, star quality in reserve.
And with the Europa League litmus test threatening to make or break the remarkable progress the club has made since Fosun International’s 2016 takeover, there is a growing feeling that Wolves’ current roster is far too small to compete successfully on domestic and continental fronts.
Thankfully, there is still time left in the transfer window and Wolves are looking to make up for lost time with a late-summer splurge.
Patrick Cutrone is on his way. The AC Milan striker is heading to Wolves this week after they agreed a £16 million deal with AC Milan, according to The Guardian.
Jesus Vallejo is already at Molineux, joining on loan from Real Madrid on Friday, and he could be joined by either Wallace or Ruben Dias. La Lazio Siamo Noi claims that Wolves have agreed a £6.5 million deal with Lazio for Wallace, with the Brazilian giving a move to England the green light.

Dias, one of Europe’s top young defenders, is an alternative and far more ambitious target with the Benfica wonderkid’s contract containing a £57 million release clause, as reported by the Express and Star. This is probably a case of one or the other.
Though Dias isn’t the only Benfica youngster on Wolves’ radar. The Black Country outfit have made a £31 million bid for combative midfielder Gedson Fernandes (Record), a classy operator who loves to control the game from the centre of the park.
With money and ambition hardly in short supply at Molineux, don’t rule out Wolves starting next season with an entirely new spine – Vallejo or Dias, Gedson and Cutrone.
