Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Joe Rodon following his performance in Wales’ 3-1 win over Finland yesterday.

The ex-Swansea man – who Spurs recently signed for £11 million – played 90 minutes as goals from Harry Wilson, Dan James and Kieffer Moore secured three points in the Nations League.

Despite failing to keep a clean sheet, Rodon was superb up against Teemu Pukki and co.

According to WhoScored, the 23-year-old completed 95.7% of his passes, and pulled off three successful long-range passes.

Rodon also made three interceptions and three clearances, while also blocking one shot.

Additionally, the Swansea-born centre-back registered one key pass on Wednesday evening, and also won a freekick.

It was an excellent, assured display from Tottenham’s No.14, who is yet to be handed a proper chance to nail down a first-team place in north London by Jose Mourinho.

The former Real Madrid boss has given Rodon just one Premier League appearance so far, and even that was just one minute of action against Burnley in October.
