Sakho returned to the Hammers’ side on Wednesday.
Diafra Sakho has reaffirmed his commitment to West Ham United amid speculation over his future.
The Frenchman was recently linked with a summer move to West Bromwich Albion, having been left out of this month’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
And the Mail reported that Sakho was unhappy not to have received a new contract, while Dimitri Payet and Cheikhou Kouyate both did.
It later transpired the 26-year-old was sidelined with a minor knee problem, which also kept him out of the Hammers’ fixtures against Leicester City and Manchester United.
Sakho returned to the side as a surprise starter in Wednesday’s 3-1 win over Watford, however, and took to Twitter afterwards to thanks the fans for their support.
“It has been a difficult season for me with injuries, but I would like to thank the fans for all their support. I am very grateful,” he posted.
“I hope the injuries are behind me now & I will continue to give 100% to the team.”
Sakho arrived at the Boleyn Ground from Metz in 2014 and scored 12 goals in 26 appearances last term.
However, an injury-disrupted campaign has seen him find the net six times in 20 outings in all competitions this time around.
Sakho, who is already battling Enner Valencia and the in-form Andy Carroll for West Ham’s central striker’s role, may have to compete with a marquee signing at the Olympic Stadium next season.
