Well-known Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed on Twitter that Sassuolo left-back Rogerio will join Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
Di Marzio, who works for Sky Sports, has claimed that Newcastle will pay Italian club Sassuolo €14 million (£12.51 million) in transfer fees for the 22-year-old left-back.
The journalist has reported on his website that negotiations between Newcastle and Sassuolo are nearly complete, and that the two clubs are finalising the last details at the moment.
Calciomercato reported in July of interest from Premier League club Newcastle in the Brazilian left-back (click here to read more).
