Dez Bryant turned the New York Knicks’ Game 3 loss into a Donald Trump punchline after Madison Square Garden spent the night reacting loudly to the president.

The Knicks had a chance to take full control of the NBA Finals at home. Instead, the San Antonio Spurs walked out of MSG with a 115-111 win, cutting New York’s series lead to 2-1 and giving outsiders plenty of room to troll.

Trump’s presence had already split the night before the final buzzer. He received some cheers, but the louder reaction inside the arena was boos, and that made the loss feel even more combustible online.

Dez Bryant mocks New York Knicks fans after Donald Trump boos at Madison Square Garden

Former NFL star Dez Bryant mocked Knicks fans after their Game 3 defeat, tying the result directly to the reaction Donald Trump received inside Madison Square Garden.

“That’s what you Knicks fans get for hating on President Trump!” Bryant tweeted.

Bryant’s post turned the loss into instant social media punishment. Knicks fans had spent the night booing Trump when he appeared inside the arena, and the former Dallas Cowboys star treated the Spurs’ win like a response to that treatment.

The joke also fit Bryant’s unfiltered online style. He has never been shy about jumping into sports arguments, and this time he used a Finals result to take a jab at New York’s crowd.

The new wrinkle is that Bryant had already stepped into a Trump-related sports debate recently. He defended Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart after backlash over a Trump rally appearance, saying he did not understand the hate directed at a player for showing support.

That made his Knicks post feel less random. Bryant was not only mocking a rival sports city; he was also pushing back at the idea that fans should punish athletes or public figures for being linked to Trump.

On the court, the Knicks gave him the opening. Victor Wembanyama led San Antonio with 32 points, while Stephon Castle added 23 as the Spurs survived Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby’s big scoring nights.

For Knicks fans, the loss was frustrating enough. Bryant made it worse by turning their Trump boos into the punchline of Game 3.
