Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Alfie Devine on Twitter for his performance against the Liverpool Under-23 side yesterday.
What’s the story?
The Tottenham Under-23 side got the better of their Liverpool counterparts 2-1 in Premier League 2.
Devine was the star of the show for Spurs.
The 17-year-old midfielder scored both the goals for the North London club.
The teenager first found the back of the net just after the half-hour mark and scored his second on 81 minutes.
Devine was actually at Liverpool when he was younger.

What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans were very impressed by Devine.
Well, some of them anyway.
Some Spurs fans want head coach Nuno to promote Devine to the first team and believe that he is better than fellow midfielder Harry Winks.

Devine is only 17, and although he is hugely talented, he is probably not ready to play week in and week out for a big club such as Spurs in the Premier League.
Not many players do at that stage of their careers.
Perhaps the teenager will get chances from time to time this season, maybe in the cup competitions or as a substitute in Premier League games.
