Liverpool winger, Harry Wilson, is seemingly on the radar of the likes of Aston Villa, Leeds United and Southampton, according to the Mirror.

Wilson was recently on-loan at relegated Bournemouth, and before that, he spent a season working under Frank Lampard at Derby County.

As Lampard has proven at Chelsea during the recently concluded season, he knows talent when he sees one and he knows how to bring one through.

Well, when the former England midfielder was at Pride Park, he was pretty complimentary of what he was seeing from the free-kick specialist, Wilson, and it should give an insight to the Villa, Leeds and Southampton fans, as to what he can provide their team if he signs for them.

“There’s a lot of talk about Harry, and early in the season, he was hitting spectacular goals, but what he’s done which has really impressed me in the last two months is really up his game generally,” Lampard told Sky Sports in 2019.

“Everything about his game is positive, he wants the ball, he’s creating, he’s scoring, so it’s not just the fantastic goals that Harry Wilson is; he’s a player who is developing fast and I’m loving watching him play at the minute.

“He’s a threat, he works hard, he wants to play every minute of every game. I know Harry is happy here, 12 goals this season and performing as well as he is so I hope it continues. He’s become a hugely important player for us.”

The one downside to Wilson’s links with Villa, Leeds and Southampton is that he didn’t exactly tear down trees at Dean Court last term.

During the first half of the campaign, he did score a couple of quality goals, including a quite brilliant free-kick against Manchester City.

But along with Bournemouth, his form dipped as the season progressed and he then found himself on the bench.

All three managers – Marcelo Bielsa, Dean Smith and Ralph Hasenhuttl, who are seemingly keen on his services, have showcased their ability to work with up and coming talents – Ben White, Kalvin Phillips, Jack Grealish, John McGinn, James Ward-Prowse, to name a few.

Maybe a move to either of those clubs will bring the best out of the Welshman because if they can get the best out of him then there is a serious talent on their hands.
