Former Rangers loanee Emerson Hyndman should do all he can to get a return to Ibrox after more Bournemouth frustration.

The USA’s failure to earn qualification to next summer’s World Cup came as a devastating blow to the players involved and the country as a whole.
One of the players who has talent, but is no closer to fulfilling it, is Bournemouth midfielder Emerson Hyndman, who has one cap for the national team.
Hyndman impressed on loan in Scotland with Rangers last season, and the USA’s qualifying heartbreak should act as a wake-up call for the 21-year-old.

This season Hyndman has played only three minutes of first team football.
If USA are to improve enough to qualify for World Cup 2022, they need their promising players to start playing regularly for their clubs.
Hyndman cannot change the direction of his national team if he is sitting on the bench at Bournemouth, as he is simply not going to progress as a player like that.

In just half a season at Rangers, Hyndman played 17 games, scoring four goals and providing four assists, impressive in a period of instability which involved a managerial change.
A return to Ibrox, permanently, would be ideal for the American, and his country’s KO should push him to do something about it.
If he was playing regularly for his club, he could have earned a place in the USA side for their vital qualifier, and had the opportunity to change what happened.
