Some Chelsea fans on social media have been reacting after Leeds United announced the signing of Lewis Bate, and it’s fair to say they’re not happy.
Indeed, Chelsea fans are seemingly gutted that the 18-year-old has left Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have unfortunately haven’t done the best of jobs when it comes to developing homegrown talents in recent years, and a number of players have moved onto other clubs only to flourish elsewhere.
Perhaps the most infamous example of this is Tariq Lamptey’s move to Brighton, and sadly it seems as though fans believe Bate could be another youngster they regret losing.
Based on the reaction from Blues supporters, Leeds have a real player on their hands with Bate, and under Marcelo Bielsa, it has to be said that he has a much better chance of playing senior football than he did at Chelsea with their over-saturated squad of multi-million-pound superstars.
