Tottenham Hotspur ace Destiny Udogie believes that fans will see ‘good football’ under Ange Postecoglou.

Destiny Udogie has already been impressed with Ange Postecolgou’s view on how to play football.

Spurs went in a completely different direction after sacking Antonio Conte, bringing Postecoglou in from Celtic.

Whilst Conte has been one of the big names in management for a while now, Postecoglou only landed his big European break in 2021 as he left Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos for Celtic.

Postecoglou impressed in Scotland and has now been brought in to change the direction of Tottenham.

The idea is completely different under Postecoglou, with Spurs looking to play on the front foot and show creativity rather than the fairly dire brand of football under Conte.

Spurs fans were given a glimpse of this on Tuesday as Tottenham faced London rivals West Ham United in a pre-season friendly.

Tottenham lost 3-2 but were impressive in terms of their build-up and chance creation, conjuring up 30 shots on the West Ham goal.

Postecoglou won’t be happy with the defeat but he and Tottenham fans will be encouraged by the early signs.

Tottenham still have a long way to go yet and they certainly need to find a way to defend a little better.

There is enough to believe that Tottenham will make progress under Postecoglou though and his players seem impressed.

Left back Destiny Udogie is starting his Tottenham career this summer after signing from Udinese in 2022.

Udogie spent last season back on loan with Udinese but is now starting his Premier League career.

Things started fairly well for Udogie; the Italian scored a lovely flick header against West Ham to bring Spurs level at 2-2.

Udogie is an attack-minded left back who may now have to learn a new role given how Postecoglou likes to invert his full backs.

Udogie is loving life under Postecoglou though and has told the London Evening Standard that he likes how the new Spurs boss wants to play.

The 20-year-old made a promise to Spurs fans too, confident claiming that Tottenham are ‘going to play good football’ with Postecoglou at the helm.

“I like his idea of football,” said Udogie. “He wants to play with the ball, wants to have the ball. We’re going to play good football. I like to attack, to overlap the winger, cut inside, come inside driving the ball, different things,” he added.
