The Leeds United winger has plenty to offer when he is fit and firing.
As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen is hopeful of having Stuart Dallas available for the weekend clash against Queens Park Rangers and, while he has had his injury problems this season, the Northern Ireland international could have a big role to play for the Whites in 2018.
Even when he has been fit, Christiansen has often opted to overlook Dallas in favour of Pablo Hernandez and Ezgjan Alioski. However the 26-year-old is exactly the kind of player Leeds need at the business end of a campaign they will be hoping ends in promotion back to the top flight.
Dallas proved his worth with goals against Sunderland and Birmingham City earlier in the campaign and he definitely deserves more chances ahead of Hernandez, who has been somewhat erratic in recent weeks.
Leeds need players who know what it means to play for the club; players desperate to get them back to the top flight and prove they can cut it when they do ultimately return.
Dallas is one such player and Christiansen would be wise to ease him in slowly, before unleashing him to finally prove his worth in 2018.
The season is long and Leeds could have a few unlikely saviours when each match becomes more important than the one before.
