Rangers’ Borna Barisic will be in action for Croatia later this month.

Rangers left back Borna Barisic has come in for some criticism of late, but that hasn’t stopped him from earning further international recognition.
The Gers swooped to land Barisic from Osijek last summer after he impressed against Rangers in the Europa League qualifiers, with his move allowing Declan John to move on.
Barisic made a great start to life at Ibrox, providing exceptional attacking ability with great crosses into the box, but an injury in September stalled his impact.
Now, the 26-year-old looks a little short of confidence, and won’t be playing on any artificial surfaces after a previous injury.
That means Andy Halliday has managed to pile the pressure on him in the left back spot, with Barisic far from a clear first choice under Steven Gerrard right now.
Despite some concerns about his performances, Barisic has still managed to keep his place in the Croatian national team squad for international duty later this month.

Barisic may well start at left back ahead of veteran Marin Leovac, with AC Milan’s Ivan Strinic still unavailable, and he needs to use this chance wisely.
Playing for his country should be a major boost to Barisic, and playing his way back into form whilst featuring alongside the likes of Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic would certainly help Barisic and Rangers going forward.
