Rangers have been linked with a move to bring Lewis Morgan back to the club.

St Mirren winger Lewis Morgan has told The Scottish Sun that it’s ‘flattering’ to receive praise from Brendan Rodgers, amid links with a move to Celtic.
Morgan, 21, started his career in the Rangers youth ranks, but moved on in 2014 in search of first-team opportunities, and has thrived with St Mirren.
The wide man hit ten goals in 46 games last season to emerge as a real threat in Scotland’s second tier, and his exploits this season have only increased interest in his signature.
Morgan has a superb record of eight goals in 14 games for St Mirren this season, and recent reports from the Daily Mail have linked Morgan with moves to both Celtic and Rangers.

Morgan is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he will be able to move on for reasonable compensation, or clubs could try and land him in January – though with St Mirren chasing promotion, they may prefer to keep him for the second half of the season.
Just days ago, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers told The Scottish Sun of his admiration for Morgan, praising him for his quickness, pressing ability and his desire to get at players, which may just hint that Celtic are preparing a move for the former Rangers youngster.
Now, Morgan has told The Scottish Sun that it’s flattering to receive such praise from Rodgers, and he has real confidence in his game as a result – but he isn’t thinking about his future just yet, and may yet wait until the end of the season to move on.

“It is nice and flattering to get praise and stuff, especially from someone like Brendan Rodgers,” said Morgan. “That gives me a lot of confidence to keep doing what I am doing at the moment. It is great to get positive comments and hopefully that can help me take my game to the next level.”
“I can’t really affect what is happening with regards to my contract, so I’ve put that to the back of my mind. I think if I can help St Mirren win the Championship and then gain a move, that would be in everybody’s best interests,” he added.
Rodgers’ comments may be a ploy to put Celtic at the front of the queue for his signature, and in that case, Rangers may have their work cut out to bring Morgan back to Ibrox, more than three years since he left the club.
