Southampton are outside the Premier League relegation zone on goal difference alone after losing 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace despite leading in the game.
It is now ten matches since the Saints last enjoyed victory under manager Mauricio Pellegrino, who insists that he doesn’t fear the sack despite that run of form.

“I feel fear for other things, not about football. In football I don’t feel fear,” Pellegrino was quoted by FourFourTwo after the Palace defeat.
“I feel responsible, I am disappointed because we lost, but it’s not fear. I feel fear for other things.”
Yet Pellegrino is under pressure and it is difficult to see the hierarchy at St Mary’s sticking by the Argentine for too much longer should the team slip into the bottom three.

Of course dismissing the South American would then mean a replacement needs to be found, but the club’s most successful ever Premier League boss is currently without a job.
That man is Ronald Koeman, who guided the Hampshire outfit to seventh and sixth place finishes during his two seasons in charge, before leaving to take over at Everton in the summer of 2016.
The Toffees axed Koeman themselves in October after a disappointing string of results, but despite that will two great years under the Dutchman allow those on the south coast to look past his mistakes at Goodison Park and try and implement a reunion?
