Manchester City-owned Wilfried Bony has fallen out of favour on loan at Stoke City – but he may get the chance to rediscover his form at West Brom.

In hindsight, Manchester City’s decision to bomb out Edin Dzeko for Wilfried Bony may have been a mistake. While the big Bosnian has plundered 32 goals for Roma this season, the most prolific season in the club’s proud history, Bony has netted a grand total of two on loan at Stoke City.
The instinctive poacher and excellent link-man who thrived at Swansea City looks lost at the Potteries. Worryingly however, Bony seems to be pinning the blame on Stoke boss Mark Hughes for excluding him from the side since mid-December.
Hughes may pick the team-sheet but the Ivorian’s ineffective performances have given him a rather easy decision.
“I want to know why I’m not playing,” Bony, who has been omitted from the matchday squad completely on occasions, told the Daily Mirror. “It is a crazy situation. I do wonder sometimes why I came here.”
Publically questioning his manager, scoring twice in ten games all season; you wonder why West Brom would even consider signing Bony in the summer.
Yet, The Sun reports that The Baggies are in a three way tussle with West Ham and Everton. Based on his form at Swansea, netting 26 goals in 54 league games, the 28-year-old would appear a superb addition for a mid-level side.
A tally of eight in 46 for both City and Stoke, however, will raise doubts as to whether Bony will ever rediscover his golden touch.

Yet, at least the former Vitesse Arnhem striker would at least stand a better chance of first-team football at West Brom. Fit and firing Andy Carroll is the undisputed first-choice at West Ham while, even if Romelu Lukaku does depart Everton, it seems unlikely that Bony would be the club’s designated number one striker next season.
Therefore, a West Brom side with only two-goal Hal Robson-Kanu and Salomon Rondon (below), goalless since mid-December, may be the best environment for Bony to start regularly in the Premier League again.
