The West Bromwich Albion midfielder was impressive against the Gunners this week.

When West Bromwich Albion agreed a loan deal for Grzegorz Krychowiak, it looked like a masterstroke from Baggies boss Tony Pulis, and based on his performance against Arsenal, that looks clearer than ever.

West Brom may have lost 2-0 to the Gunners on Monday evening but Krychowiak was a rare shining light, and his presence means the Baggies look set to win far more than they lose in the months ahead.

Once regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in Europe, Krychowiak’s ill-fated move to Paris Saint-Germain set him back just when he would have been hoping to cement his place among the current greats.

But now West Brom look set to reap the benefits with the Poland international playing week in, week out and looking to get back to his best as a consequence.

Against Arsenal he made his mark, one of the few West Brom players to do so, and there were plenty of positives to take despite the defeat.

Pulis’s men have slipped slightly in recent weeks. However they only need a couple of successive wins to get the momentum back and Krychowiak is vital in that regard.

This is arguably the best West Brom squad they have had in many years, and once the summer signings get really settled, expect them to fly.

The Baggies loanee will be desperate to make up for lost time, and he will know he has the perfect stage to prove PSG wrong, while also winning a lot of new fans at The Hawthorns.
