Some Arsenal fans are far from happy with the fact that Joe Willock hasn’t been named in the provisional England squad ahead of the Euros.
Willock has been one of the best players in the Premier League in recent months, scoring seven goals in his last seven games, and if the squad was truly being picked on form, he’d have to be in there.
However, it seems as though Southgate has valued experience over form on this occasion and Willock has been left out.
As you can imagine, Arsenal fans had plenty to say about this snub, and it’s fair to say that they weren’t happy about this.
We can understand why as well, and one fan in particular made an excellent point comparing Jesse Lingard’s impact at West Ham and Willock’s impact at Newcastle.
At the age of just 21, Willock will have plenty of opportunities to play for the Three Lions in the future, but Arsenal supporters believe that this was the time for the midfielder to get his call-up.
