Callum Wilson scored a last-minute equaliser for Bournemouth against West Ham on Boxing Day.

Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has told Sky Sports that Callum Wilson’s last-minute equaliser for Bournemouth should not have stood against West Ham, as the Cherries secured a last-gasp point.
The Hammers had come from 2-1 down to lead 3-2, thanks to Mark Arnautovic’s brace after James Collins had given David Moyes’ side the lead only for Nathan Ake and Dan Gosling to turn the game on its head.
Wilson’s injury-time was controversial to say the least; replays showed the English striker in an offside position, as well as being adjudged to have handled the ball into the net.

Gallagher believes referee Bobby Madley was wrong to award the goal, leaving Moyes with just two wins from 10 since taking over and believes the Hammers have been hard done by.
“It is a very tight offside call, but once (referee’s assistant) Simon Long calls that, the basics should just happen, whistle give offside,” Gallagher said.
“It became too complicated after that. The referee really should have just given offside and we would not be talking about that.
“In the end, they came to the conclusion that Wilson had not touched the ball, which was incorrect anyhow as he did touch the ball and it also went in off his arm.”

The result leaves West Ham way down in 17th place, even though a correct refereeing decision in the eyes of Madley would see Moyes’ side on 20 points and way up the table in 13th.
The Hammers will be looking to put the result right in their next outing, as they play host to West Bromwich Albion at the London Stadium on January 2.
