Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring Derek McInnes from Aberdeen to Ibrox as a replacement for the departed Pedro Caixinha.

Rangers are on the lookout for a new manager following the recent departure of Pedro Caixinha.
Caixinha was dismissed by the Ibrox outfit due to a run of disappointing results in the Scottish Premiership.
McInnes is a former Rangers midfielder and is doing a wonderful job at Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen at the moment.

According to The Evening Express, Rangers are interested in appointing McInnes as their new manager.
Well-known football commentator Rae has suggested that the Gers may not find it easy to convince the 46-year-old to make the switch to Ibrox.

“The problem with Rangers is they are an absolute mess,” Rae wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times. “Jurgen Klopp once said in a highly-respected German film called Trainer ‘If you go into a club and the board is bad and dysfunctional, as a manager you have no chance.’
“I don’t think Derek will be stupid about this. He won’t simply think ‘I want to go to Rangers because I can make them better.’ Undoubtedly he could.”
“I just think before we rush in and saying ‘this is the job he wants and that he will get’ you have to think about compensation, and Derek may think having turned down Sunderland in the summer that there is a better job down south that will come up for him,” added Rae.
Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have a massive fanbase, and being a former player of the Gers, McInnes could find it quite tempting to take charge of the Ibrox outfit if the terms are suitable.
