Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has been linked with a potential move to Scottish Premiership rivals Glasgow Rangers.

Aberdeen legend Willie Miller has urged Derek McInnes to turn down the Rangers job if the Ibrox side come calling as they look to replace Mark Warburton, The Scottish Sun reports.
Warburton left the Gers last week, and The Scottish Sun reports that McInnes is currently one of the names that the club’s hierarchy are considering.
Given the work that he has done at Pittodrie, it is hardly a surprise that the former Light Blues midfielder is attracting Rangers’ attention. But Miller has suggested that he must think with his head rather than his heart and realise that it would be a mistake leaving for their Scottish Premiership rivals.
“One major burden could be handling the expectations of the Rangers fans. Despite all of their problems, they still expect to see their team challenging Celtic for the title,” he said, as The Scottish Sun.
Former Rangers manager Mark Warburton
“Any manager already in a good job has got to look at that and think, ‘Is it this the right time to be taking that challenge on?
“The answer to that is ‘No’. It’s mission impossible at the moment.”
While some are suggesting that Rangers are a club in crisis following Warburton’s inability to put any kind of pressure on Celtic during his tenure, it must be remembered that the gap between the Gers and Aberdeen in the table is almost non-existent currently.

The Dons could move three points clear in second should they win their game in hand, but the fact that most are, rightfully, praising Aberdeen, while largely lamenting Rangers highlights how the latter should have the potential to leave the former behind if they can get their act together.
But if McInnes senses that there are certain things about the Gers that will prevent them from realising that potential, then he may well decide to heed Miller’s advice and stay exactly where he is.
