Kyle Lafferty, Graham Dorrans, Jason Holt, Jordan Rossiter and Eros Grezda should leave Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers, suggests Ibrox legend Derek Johnstone.
Ibrox Stadium of Rangers
Midfielders Dorrans, Holt, Rossiter and Grezda, and forward Lafferty were not taken to Portugal by Rangers manager Gerrard for the Ibrox club’s pre-season training camp.
Rangers legend Johnstone has suggested that all the aforementioned five players should take the hint and leave Rangers this summer.
Johnstone wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “Kyle Lafferty, Graham Dorrans, Jason Holt, Jordan Rossiter and Eros Grezda all missed the trip to Portugal and don’t seem to be in the plans.
“If the manager has made his position clear then I think players should take the hint this summer. Steven has been straight with them and let them know his position early.
“So they have plenty of time to work with their agents and come to an agreement to leave Rangers and then get themselves another club.”

Challenging Celtic
Rangers have a big squad, but there are many players who are simply not good enough to compete for a place in Gerrard’s starting lineup.
The Gers need capable players in their squad for the 2019-20 campaign in order to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
Celtic have won the league title for the past eight seasons, and Neil Lennon’s side will be favourites to clinch the championship again in 2019-20.
