Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers made a great decision to re-sign Allan McGregor, it seems.

Speaking to The Glasgow Evening Times, Derek Johnstone has praised the ‘superb’ Allan McGregor since returning to Rangers.
The 36-year-old, who previously spent 11 years in Rangers’ senior side, re-signed for the Ibrox club this past summer, after his contract with Hull City ran out.
And the veteran goalkeeper has since proven himself as arguably the best of the Gers’ 15 summer signings – and his performance in last week’s Old Firm defeat consolidated that suggestion.
Steven Gerrard’s side lost 1-0 at Celtic Park but the scoreline could and would have been a lot worse for the visitors if not for McGregor, who may start for Scotland in tonight’s friendly with Belgium.
Johnstone, who won 14 major honours with Rangers, claims that the big man was ‘immense’ – even if he was fortunate not to be sent off after kicking out at Kristoffer Ajer at one point.
He told The GET: “The performance of Allan McGregor was immense. He has been superb since coming back and some of the saves he pulled off were top class.
“But he was lucky not to be sent off and even luckier that the disciplinary panel didn’t retrospectively take action against the Rangers goalkeeper.
“I am not going to criticise McGregor because he’s been brilliant and goalies do take a lot of hits during the game. I could be guilty of that myself.”
Wes Foderingham is McGregor’s understudy at Ibrox, but if the latter maintains this form throughout the season then it’s very difficult to see the English keeper getting a look-in for a big game.
