Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants to bring John McGinn to Ibrox from Hibernian, while Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have also been linked.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers want to sign McGinn from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who will take charge of the Gers from next month, is considering making a move for the 23-year-old midfielder.
Rangers’ Old Firm rivals, Celtic, have long been linked with a move for the Scotland international midfielder.
Back in June 2017, The Express reported that Celtic were planning to sign McGinn from Hibernian in the summer of 2017, while a report in ChronicleLive in February 2018 stated that the performances of the Scotland international this season have caught the eye of the Glasgow giants.
Rangers legend Johnstone does not believe that McGinn will end up at Ibrox, as his grandfather Jack McGinn is a former Celtic chairman.

The Scottish Sun quotes Johnstone as saying about McGinn: “For me, he is a wonderful player. But I don’t think he will go to Rangers, that is for sure.
“We are all aware his whole family are Celtic, his grandfather Jack McGinn, is an ex-chairman of Celtic. I don’t think there is any chance of that happening.
“Celtic may well be interested, Scott Brown only has a couple of years left. I know they are different types of players, but he is a midfielder that would do a job for Celtic.
“If I was him, if there is anyone in the top six or top eight in the Premier League looking at him, I would go down there.”

Quality footballer
McGinn is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership and has been playing well for Hibernian this season.
The 23-year-old Scotland international midfielder has scored five goals and provided four assists in 30 Scottish Premiership appearances for Hibs this campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
