Ferguson, who started his professional club football career at Rangers, believes that Steven Gerrard’s can go undefeated as they will be playing without pressure.
Ferguson said on Open Goal: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Rangers go unbeaten until the end of the season because there’s no pressure.”
Going undefeated
Celtic are pretty much guaranteed to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, and Rangers should be able to end up second in the standings.
This is the period for the Gers to play the best football they can and to go for it in all matches.
Rangers have played attacking and attractive football under Liverpool legend Gerrard, and one suspects that the former England international midfielder will want his players to step it up in the final weeks of the season.
One key target for Rangers in the final weeks of the campaign should be to win against Celtic at Ibrox in the Old Firm derby in May.
