Neil Lennon’s Celtic signed Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and Greg Taylor in the summer transfer window.

Former Rangers star Ferguson has suggested that new summer signing Taylor will provide Bolingoli-Mbombo with competition for the left-back spot.
Celtic progress
Bolingoli-Mbombo joined Celtic from Rapid Vienna in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £3 million.
The left-back struggled initially, but the 24-year-old has shown some very encouraging signs in recent matches.
The defender did well for Celtic in the Old Firm derby against Rangers at Ibrox last weekend, and it seems that he is finally settling in at the Hoops.

Push
Celtic recently signed 21-year-old Scotland international left-back Taylor from Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock.
Ferguson said about Bolingoli-Mbombo on Open Goal: “He has gonna have to produce because the wee boy Taylor has come in, he has gonna have to produce.”
Former Celtic star Frank McAvennie added: “Considering the amount of stick that he has been taking, you would think he shouldn’t be playing amateur football.”
Healthy competition
Taylor is one of the best young left-backs in the Scottish Premiership, and the 21-year-old is a smart long-term signing for the Hoops.
Healthy competition is important in any squad, and both Bolingoli-Mbombo and Taylor will push each other.
