Lassana Coulibaly is on loan Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers at the moment.

Ferguson believes that Rangers manager Steven Gerrard needs to sign a midfielder in the summer transfer window who can impose himself in the middle of the park in order to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
Coulibaly joined Rangers on a season-long loan deal from Angers in the summer of 2018.
Although the 23-year-old midfielder started his career at Ibrox strongly, the Mali international has failed to maintain consistency.
According to WhoScored, Coulibaly has made 14 starts and five substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.
The youngster has also made six appearances in the Europa League and has featured once in the Scottish League Cup for Gerrard’s side this campaign, according to WhoScored.

Ferguson said on Open Goal: “I would be looking at somebody they could bring in, somebody that’s a good, experienced player that can get games by the scruff of the neck. Maybe that’s what they have been missing in the middle of the park.”
When asked if Coulibaly is the man, Ferguson said: “I don’t know. Is he the one that’s going to go up against Brown, that’s going to go up against McGregor, Rogic?
“That’s where the comparison is going to be. If Rangers are going to challenge Celtic and take the title next season, then they need better than what they have.”
