Glasgow Rangers ace Andy Halliday has been perhaps the Ibrox club’s best player this season.

Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson has labelled Andy Halliday a “proper player” and questioned why he is still uncapped for Scotland, speaking to The Sun.
The 24-year-old has perhaps been Rangers’ most consistent player in a Premiership campaign which has been somewhat up and down so far.
Be it from midfield or a slightly deeper role, Halliday has been impressive for the Gers, but the former Bradford City man remains on the fringes of Gordon Strachan’s plans or so it seems.

Halliday was not included in Strachan’s latest Scotland squad and Ibrox great Ferguson admits that he is surprised by the lack of hype surrounding an international call-up for the Rangers ace.
“Halliday’s a proper player. He was left out, but he doesn’t seem to me to be the kind of guy who’d spit the dummy,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“He’s knuckled down, he’s worked harder, got his opportunity back in the side, and now look at him.

“He’s an intelligent boy as well. You can see that on the park. Why can’t he become a Scotland player? I’m surprised he doesn’t get mentioned.”
Halliday was the Rangers man involved in the training-ground row with Joey Barton which saw the latter slapped with a month-long suspension by the club.
The Scot is Rangers through and through and that seems to be shining through on a weekly basis. If he continues to impress in a blue shirt then Strachan will find it hard to ignore him when the November internationals come along.
