Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers lost against Celtic at Ibrox last weekend.
Joe Aribo of Rangers celebrates
The former Rangers star believes that although Aribo has done well for the Gers this season, the 23-year-old midfielder failed to turn up in the big game against the Hoops.
Ferguson has also said that star defender Connor Goldson struggled at times in the Old Firm derby last weekend.
Ferguson said on Open Goal when asked which Rangers players disappointed him against Celtic: “Aribo because he has shown in the games earlier in the season that he is capable, but in the big stage you have got to produce. Also, looked at the back, Goldson, I thought he struggled at times.”

Stepping up
Goldson is one of the best central defenders in the Scottish Premiership, and the 26-year-old will know that he should have done better against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership last season.
The former Shrewsbury Town defender – who cost Rangers £3 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018, as reported by Sky Sports – probably had an off day.
As for Aribo, the 23-year-old midfielder will have to step up for Rangers in the big games.
Although the 2019 summer signing has been brilliant for the Gers, the youngster has to affect the big games.
