According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in signing Lowe from Derby in the Championship in England in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Rangers manager Gerrard has made contact with his former England international teammate and current Rangers manager Frank Lampard regarding securing the services of the 22-year-old on a loan deal for the 2019-20 campaign.
Lowe, who can operate as a left-back or as a midfielder, spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers’ Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen from Derby.
According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old Derby-owned player made 31 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Aberdeen this season, scoring two goals in the process.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has given his take on the speculation, and he seems to think that Lowe could move to Rangers this summer.

Ferguson said on Open Goal: “I like the boy Max Lowe. I don’t know the situation at the moment. I know he’s a Derby player.”
Regarding the Rangers link, Ferguson added: “There might be something in that. I really like him.
“I’ve watched him often enough – I like his pace on the overlap, the drive, he’s got decent delivery. I think he ticks all the boxes.”
