Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers are bringing Jake Hastie to Ibrox in the summer transfer window.

Rangers have signed Hastie on a four-year contract, with the 20-year-old winger set to move to the Ibrox club in the summer transfer window after his current deal at Motherwell runs out.
Ferguson said on Open Goal: “What you [Frank McAvennie] have just said there, that would be a great scenario. Signs with Rangers, but loaned back to Motherwell. That would be the perfect scenario.”
Good advice from Derek Ferguson?
Hastie has only just broken into the Motherwell first team, and it is going to be hard for the 20-year-old winger to establish himself in Steven Gerrard’s side at Rangers next season.

After all, the Gers have some very good wingers and attacking players, and the youngster will find it even more competitive if Ryan Kent extends his loan deal from Rangers.
It will make sense for Hastie to return to Motherwell on a loan deal, perhaps for the first half of next season, but if he does that, then he will miss out on training under Gerrard and learning the Liverpool legend’s way of playing.
