Eros Grezda of Rangers
Rangers signed Grezda from Osijek in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £2 million.
The Albania international, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, has struggled to make a huge impact at Rangers so far.
The 24-year-old has made seven starts and six substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers, scoring two goals in the process, according to Whoscored.
Former Rangers midfielder Ferguson has suggested that the Gers wasted their money on Grezda and should have spent it elsewhere.
Ferguson said on Open Goal about Grezda: “Not a fan of Grezda. They supposedly spent £2 million on him. I think that money could have been spent elsewhere.”
Hope springs eternal
Grezda’s performances have left much to be desired, but Rangers fans should have faith in the winger.
After all, the Albania international is still only 24 years of age, and after a season in Scottish football, he will have become more experienced, and that will help him next season.
Rangers will be aiming to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
