Derby County’s Max Lowe made his breakthrough into the first-team this season and has already proven he is one of the best young prospects outside the Premier League.

Lowe, who has come through the ranks at Derby, is highly-regarded after impressing for club and country over the last 12 months.

The left-back has been capped by England at various youth levels all the way from Under-16 up to Under-20 and he is set to be included in the England squad for this summer’s Under-20s World Cup in South Korea later this month.

Lowe made his first-team debut against Carlisle in the EFL Cup last August and also featured as a substitute against Liverpool in the next round.

The talented defender made his first Championship start against Cardiff in September and he has gone on to make 12 appearances in all competitions for the Rams this season.

Lowe is so highly-thought of at the iPro Stadium he was handed a new deal soon after making his first-team debut to keep him at the club until 2020.

The classy full-back has yet to feature under current Derby boss Gary Rowett due to injuries, but it looks like he could play a key role next season for Rowett as the former Derby defender looks to mould a squad capable of winning promotion back to the Premier League.

Derby fans will be keeping a close eye on Lowe’s performances for England at the Under-20 World Cup and they will be keen to see more of the defender next season in what they hope will be a more successful campaign than this term.

Next year will be a huge year for Lowe and he could end saving the club millions in the transfer market if he continues his rapid progress.
