Nick Blackman of Derby scores against Cardiff City
Derby County striker Nick Blackman has agreed a loan move to Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Blackman has not featured for Derby so far this season and has only started 12 games for the Rams since joining from Reading in January 2016.
Derby boss Gary Rowett is happy to let Blackman leave on loan as he does not figure in his plans going forward at the iPro Stadium.
Blackman still has two years to run on his contract at Derby and the forward has opted to move out on loan in search of regular first-team football.
The former Sheffield United man has held productive talks with Maccabi Tel Aviv this week and the two clubs have reached an agreement over a season-long loan deal.

Maccabi Tel Aviv can offer Blackman the opportunity to play in the Europa League this season and the chance to work under former Manchester United winger Jordi Cruyff played a big role in Blackman’s decision to move to Israel.
The 27-year-old scored one goal in a total of 29 appearances for Derby and he will be keen to get his career back on track at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
